Volunteering Overview
blueSCI supports people in Trafford to recover their mental well-being, through creative and social opportunities.
Volunteers are currently involved in a range of activities including; facilitating workshops, Support Time and Recovery (STR Worker) roles, allotment, reception, administration and Literacy and Numeracy support.
Volunteer time can be as little as 2 hours or up to 2/3 days a week.
What we offer you
Initally all volunteers are provided with an Induction to the service and to the role of being a volunteer. As their undertake their role they recieve continuing professional develpment through:
Monthly supervision
Training and development opportunities
NVQ qualifications
What do we look for in a volunteer
We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals with excellent people skills who are able to give some of their time to engage with individuals who access our service for the first time.
This will require individuals to meet and greet, give a tour of the blueSCI service giving an overview of the range of activities and opportunities available. Supporting and empowering individuals to establish their goals and aspirations and creating a can do culture. In return we offer:
