Social groups
Feeling connected to others is important for our mental health and wellbeing. Social activities and groups offer an opportunity meet new people, gain support and support others whilst often learning a new skill or gaining a new hobby. We have a number of social activities you can get involved in at the library.
Brew and Chat Thursdays 10.30am – 12pm
Join us for a free hot drink and good company. There is no need to book on to this activity, you can just turn up. The group chat and get to know each other and also play board games. Contact us on 0161 912 3560 if you want help to attend this group.
Directions for Men Thursdays 1pm – 2.30pm
A group run by men for men. If you are struggling with your mental health and want to talk about your experiences, gain advice and feel that someone is listening, join this amazing group. Knit and Natter Saturdays 10:30am – 12pm
Interested in learning a new skills whilst meeting new people? Or maybe you are an experienced knitter looking to share your knowledge with others. Join our friendly knitting group where you can enjoy a hot drink and chat to people local to the library. If you are a beginner, the group can provide you with materials so don’t worry about having to purchase any beforehand.
