Job Advert – Finance Administrator

Hourly rate:               £14.54 

Hours:                          19  (permanent post)

Reports to:                  CEO

Accountable to:          CEO

Job Purpose:

The post holder will be responsible for the financial processing and administration for the organisation which supports the service delivery. With excellent numeracy, analytical skills and strong attention to detail to ensure accurate financial information is provided to CEO and Board. The post holder will contribute to the production of monthly management accounts and reporting from Quickbooks accounting software.  

Liaise with Community Accountancy Services who process Bluesci payroll.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide processing and administrative support for the financial accounting activities of the organisation.  
  • Processing payments, managing invoices, inputting of expenses into Quickbooks, ensuring that all are appropriately coded and in line with company procedures.  
  • Maintain and update monthly income and expenditure reports contributing to the monthly cashflow report and spreadsheet. 
  • ensure that expenditure is aligned to the terms and conditions of the funding agreements/contract requirements.
  • Maintain bank records, effectively and accurately processing all bank transactions in a timely manner.  
  • Support the CEO in the monthly production of financial information for the Board to accurately reflect the financial health and position of the organisation.  
  • Assist with applications for funding and the preparation of associated budgets along with administrating the annual budget and approval process
  • Ensureaccurate information for payroll is provided to Community Accountancy Services
  • Provide petty cash oversight
  • Liaise with Bluesci room hire and HR administrators
  • Undertake other admin rosed and responsibilities as required

Bluesci  is required to check with the DBS the possible criminal background of staff and volunteers who apply forwork with vulnerable people.

Knowledge of accounting processes and systems within a business environment

Minimum 12 months Accounting administration experience

Finance and accounting role

Proven experience of bookkeeping principles and practice
