We are delighted to announce that Bluesci Support is now delivering the WorkWell Trafford programme in partnership with Trafford Council, helping local people overcome health-related barriers to work and supporting them to remain in, return to, or move closer towards employment.
Work and wellbeing are closely connected. However, when physical health, mental health, caring responsibilities, confidence, or other life challenges begin to affect someone’s ability to work, it can be difficult to know where to turn. WorkWell Trafford has been designed to provide personalised, practical support that puts individuals and their goals at the centre of the journey.
What is WorkWell Trafford?
WorkWell Trafford is a free service that matches people with a dedicated WorkWell practitioner who will work alongside them to understand their circumstances, strengths, and ambitions. Together, they will create a tailored plan to help individuals stay in employment, return to work after a period of absence, or explore opportunities that better suit their needs and wellbeing.
The service recognises that everyone’s situation is different. Support may include:
- One-to-one guidance and encouragement
- Help navigating health and wellbeing services
- Support to build confidence and resilience
- Advice around employment, training, and skills development
- Assistance creating a practical plan to achieve work-related goals
- Connections to local services and community support networks
A Holistic Approach
At Bluesci, we understand that challenges affecting work often extend beyond the workplace itself. As an organisation with over 20 years of experience supporting mental health and wellbeing across Trafford, we are well placed to help people address the wider factors that may be impacting their ability to work and thrive. Through WorkWell Trafford, individuals can access person-centred support that focuses not just on employment, but on overall wellbeing, helping people take positive steps forward at a pace that works for them.
Who Can Access the Service?
WorkWell Trafford is for Trafford residents whose health or wellbeing is affecting their ability to work, or who may be at risk of leaving employment due to health-related challenges. The programme can also support people looking to return to work after a period away from employment.
Bluesci can support you if you live in Urmston or Partington (there are other organisations supporting people in the other areas of Trafford).
